Clipper Stad Amsterdam – The first clipper ship to be built in 130 years, Stad Amsterdam follows the traditions of her famous predecessors for speed and romantic looks. The 250ft Stad Amsterdam was launched in 2000 in Holland and combines the traditional design of the clipper with modern technology and guest comfort, all conforming to the strictest of safety standards. She is a stunning sight to see entering any harbour and always attracts attention. On board, she provides a steady sailing motion.

		Accommodation is in 14 ensuite cabins each with twin single beds and two additional Pullman berths. Each cabin is simply decorated and features a small desk area and has its own telephone and television. The Long Room Bar and Dining Room is the ideal evening meeting place with a warm ambiance and cozy seating areas.

On deck there is extensive space for relaxing while underway and for watching (and helping too if you would like) the expert crew hoist and trim the massive sails in the traditional (manual) way. Refreshments are always available from the Promenade Bar on deck.

Stad Amsterdam has 25 crew, including Captain, two five-star Chefs, Pursers, Stewards and deck crew who are dedicated to providing the highest level of guest care.


Stad Amsterdam is available for private charter and is an ideal venue for corporate and incentive events as well as get-togethers for families and groups of friends. Rates: Available for charter on a whole ship basis.
